FAQ

• How long are the sessions? : You can book hour long sessions slots, but I also offer a free 30 minute discussion session to establish the tutoring you want!


• How much do you charge? : I charge £20/hr for online sessions and £30/hr for in person sessions.


• Why do you charge more for in person tutoring? : I charge more to pay for fuel and for time lost due to travelling, online tutoring also allows me to share resources I create more easily and so I want to encourage more to use my online service!


• Where do you offer in-person tutoring? : I am currently based in Harborne, west Birmingham. So I offer tutoring in the rough vicinity of that area! Online tutoring is available from anywhere in the UK, but in person will have to be in the west Birmingham region.


• What experience do you have? : In the past I have tutored students taking foundating GCSE maths as part of an initiative which my school ran.


• What qualifications do you have? : I have a First Class Masters degree (MPhys) in Physics with Theoretical Physics from the University of Manchester. My theoretical physics degree requires more mathematical courses as part of it, making me fully qualified to tutor A-Level maths and further maths in addition to Physics up to the first couple of years of university. At A-Level I achieved grades of A*AA in physics, maths and chemistry respectively, and at GCSE I obtained 3A*s and 8 A grades.
